The Archaeologic Museum "in situ" lies on the ground florr of palazzo SS. Annunziata in Sulmona. During the repairs of the west wing of the palace, an old Hospital, were discovered some remains of the Roman City ( I b.C. - II A.D.)

The subsequent stratigraphic excavetion have brought to light objects of great archaeological interest : an house (domus) with black and white tassellated paving (I b.C. - I A.D.)

On the wall of the main room is reproduced a drawing with Dionysus ed Ariadne's wedding, Pan and Eros, in the Pompeian style.

The domus was destroyed during the II century A.D.

The finds emerged from the excavation, it is those pertinent to the Roman phase that to those following, and the explanatory panels complete the suggestive run in the urban memory of Sulmona.
